Frequently Asked Questions
Why is Hansa Center Unique?
We use unconventional, yet highly scientific rapid testing, along with long forgotten medical techniques from when doctors didn’t rely so heavily on lab tests, that allow us to determine the sources of imbalance instead of just reacting to symptoms. We custom tailor a treatment program to address your body’s very specific needs. This is not a cookie-cutter, one-size fits all type of medicine. What you generally pay a doctor for is his best educated guess. We get to win many of our cases because our unique testing helps eliminate much of the guesswork of doctoring. We work to restore the body’s perfect design, and then disease often falls away. We are where to go when no one else can figure out what to do with you. Many clinics claim to treat the whole person with natural medicine, but are actually using the standard medical model of healing, only using herbs instead of drugs.
Have you helped people like me?
We have helped people with nearly every condition, from rare chronic diseases to the more common aches and pains. We enjoy great success because we don’t specialize in treating diseases. We specialize in the restoration of optimum functioning of the body, mind, and spirit.
What is your success rate?
Our doctors usually expect that patients begin to see improvement in some areas within the first two days of treatment, and usually in many areas within two weeks. They also coach/counsel patients on lifestyle, mindset, and spiritual components of health and healing, and provide strategies for continuing to maintain whole person health after your treatment program is over.
Will I feel worse before I feel better?
Our doctors do not believe that you must feel worse before you can feel better. We expect you to have improvement within the first few treatments.
Why come for two weeks?
It has taken your body a long time to get sick. Our doctors use a two week program of concentrated treatments to get the body jump-started back towards healing. Because our goal is to get every system of the body up and running correctly as rapidly as possible, our doctors are performing different in-house testing and treatments each day, without ever repeating the same treatment, during the initial two weeks.
Will I need to return after the initial two week program?
This will be decided by the patient and doctor together, but often the doctors recommend that patients return 4-8 weeks after their initial program for a week of follow-up care. Phone consultations with a doctor are also available for follow-up.
What if I’m local (within driving distance)?
The doctors specialize in people with chronic, unresponsive illnesses and therefore generally recommend 10-11 days of initial treatments, either sequentially over a two week period or spread over a month, depending on your specific symptoms.
Can you give me advice over the phone so I don’t have to come to the clinic?
Our doctors cannot treat you over the phone. The best thing to do is to come in for an examination and treatment designed for you. Non-patient phone consultation appointments with a doctor are available to determine if we can help you.
What will I do in the clinic?
Your treatment with one of our doctors is generally one hour per day and complimented by various therapies lasting up to four hours in order to enhance and speed the healing process, as well as nutritional supplements tested for your body by the doctors.
How do I get started?
Call our office at 316-686-5900 to schedule initial testing and physical and make the initial deposit. We will send you our New Patient Packet with forms and a patient history to fill out. Read it and answer all the questions completely. We can help with other questions you may have as well.
How long is the wait to get an appointment?
It varies depending on several factors, but we usually recommend calling immediately for the earliest availability. It is always easier to correct someone’s body earlier, rather than waiting until things get worse. Occasionally, we are able to find last-minute appointments for patients who are in urgent need, but please do not rely on that. Your health is of the utmost importance. It is best to schedule as soon as possible.
How and when do I pay?
We require a deposit by phone to book your initial evaluation, and also a prepayment for your 2-week program upon your arrival at the clinic.
What payment methods are available?
Payment is due upon arrival at the clinic. We accept checks, cash, and major credit cards. We are also a Care Credit facility.
Do you accept insurance?
We do not accept insurance and are not able to provide insurance codes. We are not participating providers with any insurance company. Insurance is based on the terms “usual and customary,” and our services are not considered usual and customary by insurance companies due to the large amounts of time that doctors spend with each patient in each visit.
How can I prepare for my treatment program?
We recommend reading and understanding our health philosophies in Dr. Jernigan’s books, Beating Lyme Disease 2nd Edition: Living the Good Life in Spite of Lyme (even if you don’t have Lyme) and Everyday Miracles by God’s Design.
